How to Add Details and Features to Your Drone

  • Drag four cones from the toolbar onto the workplane. These will be the propellers of your drone.



  • Adjust the size and position of the cones by dragging their corners or edges. You can also use the arrows on the cones to move them along the x-, y-, or z-axis.



  • Rotate the cones by 90 degrees so that they point upwards. You can use the rotate tool from the toolbar to do this.



  • Place the cones on top of the cylinders so that they are centered. You can use the align tool from the toolbar to snap them together.



  • Select all four cones and click on the group tool from the toolbar to combine them into one shape.



  • Drag a sphere from the toolbar onto the workplane. This will be the camera of your drone.

  • Place the sphere on the front of the cube so that it is slightly protruding. You can use the align tool from the toolbar to snap it together.



  • Select all six shapes (the cube, the cylinders, and the cones) and click on the hole tool from the toolbar to make them transparent.



  • Select all seven shapes (the cube, the cylinders, the cones, and the sphere) and click on the group tool from the toolbar to combine them into one shape.

How to Export and Share Your Drone Model




Once you are happy with your drone model, you can export it as an STL file for 3D printing or as an OBJ file for rendering. You can also share it on the Tinkercad gallery or on social media. To do this, follow these steps:
